By train - Oxenholme Lake District on the West Coast main line is served by regular trains from Manchester airport, London and the Midlands. The station is a 5 minute drive away.

From M6 Junction 36 take the A590 (dual carriageway) towards Kendal .  The A590 becomes the A591 after passing the Barrow/Grange turning.  After BP Garages on opposite sides of the carriageway take the turning to Kendal South passing underneath dual carriageway.

After 200 yards turn up the lane first left immediately after the Kendal Town sign, which is just after the 40 mph speed zone sign. After 100 yards turn right at the 'T' junction, go over the bridge and bear left up the driveway to Helsington Laithes Manor.
